Eat cells, Escape from them and the Best! Free Skins, New Ways :)

Pecking order

To begin with, if you don't already know, the game is based on a very simple premise, which is summarized in the title of this section, the strongest is the one who survives at the expense of the weakest. In Agario we will be simple round organisms, like cells, that must feed to grow, either from small balls that we will find scattered around the screen, with which we will slowly increase in size; or other cells that, depending on their size, will make us enclose more or less.

And then who is the strongest?

The competitive aspect of this game plays a fundamental role in its success, and that is that we are competing against many users at the same time and that is precisely one of the keys to its success. Every time someone eats us we want revenge, as good rational beings that we are, and that will often make you restart the game and respawn as quickly as possible like small and fast cells with a name in mind, that of the one who ate you just a few seconds ago. The good thing is that we will probably forget when the time comes, since Agario completely absorbs you.

To know how big you are as a cell, the game has a leader board with the 10 fattest players in the game we are in to be able to reach the highest position, which is not easy, and keep us there, which is even more difficult, since even if we are the biggest in the game, at one point a bad decision can end everything; As you will see later, it is not always the greatest that survives.

On the other hand, the game currently has two game modes: FFA (Free-For-All) in which we compete all against all, and each one on his own, without allies, only enemies who will try to eat you as soon as they can. And Team mode, the other mode in which there are three teams defined by colors and we have to make ours the largest by helping our allies and making strategies with them.

less is more

Less is more, that is exactly what the creators of Agario had to have in mind when implementing mechanics, and they really nailed it, since you learn to play in just a few seconds, but mastering the mechanics and using them at the right time can take time.

On the one hand we have the constant displacement of our cell, which moves at a certain speed, which depends on the size, in the direction that we point with the cursor.

On the other hand, we have a movement that allows us to divide our cell or cells into two different ones, as long as it exceeds a certain size, with one of the two parts shooting a small distance towards where we point with the cursor. This movement, which is performed with the space key, allows us to eat smaller cells that would otherwise escape due to their greater speed; but we also risk that another larger cell could eat our parts, since they will be half the size of the original.

Finally we have a movement that is performed with the W key that allows us to throw certain amounts of mass at other users, initially to help them, but this is not always the case. We can also feed viruses so that they destroy nearby cells and thus end up with big guys that seemed indestructible.

Another notable element is the viruses that we just mentioned; They are spread all over the map and if you accidentally eat one you will split into many small and extremely vulnerable parts, so it is best not to get close to them.
